I really don't understand why people like physical keyboards on their smartphones. That makes the device so big compared to the screensize. Why don't make use of a virtual keyboard like the iPhone.

@Sjaak. A physical keyboard provides much better feedback than a touchscreen, so you can type with much less hand-eye coordination. With a touch screen you must look at your text all the time. If you answer messages in full sentences (not just: yes, no, approve, reject, OK) it makes a huge difference.
